Our story

Family founded and family owned, we’re proud to be independent beer makers and part of the Barwon Heads community

  • Barwon Heads Brewing Co. was founded by the Andrew family back in 2020 in the middle of COVID19 lockdowns, however this didn’t deter them from following a dream of creating easy drinking craft beer for everyone to enjoy.

  • In the mist of lockdowns they worked away building the site and creating the amazing branding that we are all so familiar with today. In late 2021 Barwon Heads Brewing Co. proudly released their first 3 beers. Draught, Pale ale & Mid, they have now gone on to release their 4th beer, the Japanese lager and are constantly working away on new releases.

Our Vision

To Create easy drinking craft beers for everyone to enjoy and to continue to give back and support the local community.

The Brewery

The brewery is where the magic happens, stainless for days, we brew small batches, more often so the beer here is fresher.

The Brewery is a 10HL brewstack system from Sparks brewing, originally accompanied by 3 30hl fermentation vessels. Due to the amazing support shown by the local community in 2022 after only brewing for 3 months they expanded and added an additional 5 30hl fermentation vessels and 2 10hl brite tanks for their future venue so that you can drink the freshest beer possible
